Supporting local charities is at the heart of everything we do at Luctonians.
With our Charity Day just around the corner, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to look back on the incredible support shown by our community since the event’s inception in 2017.
Over the years, thanks to the generosity of players, supporters, sponsors, and volunteers, Our Charity Day has raised vital funds for a wide range of causes – from cancer support and mental health to farming wellbeing and local community services. Each year, our “Lucs in …” kits have become a symbol of both rugby spirit and the power of giving back.

Over the years, the Luctonians community has shown incredible support for Charity Day in countless ways – from purchasing the one-off match shirts straight off the players’ backs, buying raffle tickets, donating prizes for auctions and raffles, sponsoring the unique shirts, purchasing support t-shirts, and even getting (or giving!) haircuts — arranged or spontaneous! And that’s just the beginning of the generosity our community brings to these special events.
Since 2017, an incredible £90,579.00 has been raised from these Charity Days alone!
Will 2025 be the year that takes us over £100,000?

Can we raise £9421.00 this year?
Our next Charity Day takes place on Saturday 4th October 2025, when our 1st XV welcome Hornets RFC to Luctonians. This year, we are proud to be raising money for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, the Gilwern Ward at Hereford Hospital and Luctonians in the Community.
Both causes are very close to the hearts of many in the Luctonians community. Our very own Simon Green-Price knows firsthand the importance of the Gilwern Ward, as it was here that he first received treatment following his accident.
We hope the community will once again come together to support these vital causes, continuing the incredible tradition of generosity and impact that Charity Day has become since 2017.
