Junior Rounders
Our Junior Rounders season started on the 8th April with plenty of new faces. Most weeks there were 15 members, who in total attended 20 sessions with only 1 cancelled due to rain.
They had several fixtures against local schools and league teams, some victories and some losses, but all good fun and good experience.
The season finished on the 19th August with the inaugural Children vs Parents match, with 44 people playing on one pitch, which was chaos but a lot of fun. The kids were victorious!!
Senior Rounders
The league kicked off on the 1st May with 13 teams taking part. The season seemed to fly by, probably due to the glorious summer weather that Mortimer Park endured, which resulted in no games being cancelled.
This season, the league winners were Ginger Ninjas, who last won the trophy back in 2016 under the name Orleton Ladies. A big well done to Pink Panthers on being runners-up.
Due to all league games being completed by the end of July, two mini Division tournaments were run. In Division 1 the winners were the Underdogs and Division 2 Base-ic pitches came out on top.
Rounders made its first appearance at the Club’s Sundogs Festival and there has been some great feedback from all who took part. We look forward to next year! Well done to Your Base or Mine on being the winners at this year’s festival.
We would also like to say well done to the Pink Panthers, who attended the Sue Parry Charity Tournament in Hereford in aid of St Michael’s Hospice and won!
League Winners: Ginger Ninjas

League Runners up: Pink Panthers

A big thank you to everyone who helps to make this league a success from the club, groundsman, pitch markers, players, umpires, parents, juniors, spectators and supporters. Well done.
The 2025 season is well and truly done. Here’s to 2026!!
We would also like to say a big thank you to Mel and Ginge, who volunteer to run the Rounders section each year and put in a huge amount of work behind the scenes to make sure it goes off without a hitch.
