Luctonians in the Community

Despite the financial times we are all facing I am delighted that we have had another very successful season fundraising for various local charities.

In total over the season £43,387.33 was raised by the club as a whole, and huge part of this has been raised by the current U15s who are fundraising for a tour to South Africa next year and so far, have amassed an amazing £16,562.28!

The remaining £26,825.05 raised by the Charity Day, Match Day Raffles, Table Raffle, Christmas Draw and Wreath Evening enabled us to present cheques at the last game of the season to Wye Valley Trust Special Care Baby Unit for £1,817, Severn Freewheelers £7,000, Herefordshire Headway £7,000 and finally of course £7,000 for Luctonians in the Community projects.  It was indeed an honour to do this on behalf of all the fabulous supporters who put their hands in their pockets on multiple occasions and of course the sponsors and donators of prizes!

I am thrilled to say that our fundraising did not stop there as The Poppy Appeal collected £525.11 back in November, and the various sporting sections who ran raffles raised £3,482.94 to help them with their specific running costs.  And finally, we had two superbly supported collections one for food items for the Leominster Food Bank for Christmas, and another for handbags and toiletries for Love Grace charity in the Spring.

All this is only possible with backing of the Luctonian’s supporters and sponsors and of course the volunteers who make this all achievable! Thank you!
