Luctonians in the Community

Luctonians Cycle Club continues to thrive, with members enjoying a fantastic variety of activities throughout the year.

In addition to their regular Sunday and Tuesday club rides, members have ventured further afield with several “away day” rides, exploring beautiful routes beyond Herefordshire. On the competitive side, riders have taken part in Sportives, Open Time Trials, and their own popular evening ten-mile events at Shobdon Airfield.

Of course, it’s not all about the bike. The club’s lively social calendar has included a treasure hunt, a bowling evening, a quiz night, and the much-loved annual Christmas Lunch, held in December at Aardvark Books in Brampton Bryan.

So far this year, some of their intrepid members have completed the epic ride from Land’s End to John o’ Groats, while others escaped to Madeira for training in sunnier climes. Planning is already underway for more events this summer, with hopes for another club weekend away before the evenings start to draw in.

It’s shaping up to be another fantastic year for Luctonians Cycle Club—on the road and off it—bringing people together through sport, friendship, and shared adventure.
